My sister did not show up at the reception!

Are you close with your sister? I don't understand how she would let him make her and your niece miss your wedding reception if you all are close. It's weird. Then again, I've never been in a super controlling relationship. Perhaps she was afraid to disagree with him?

 

If you are close with her, I think you would have to think of a way to talk to her about this. Someone else mentioned bringing up the fact that if she knew they were holding dinnner, why would they go to eat somewhere else? And you aren't supposed to know they went to Miami, right? I am not sure how far apart these places are, but can you question the time that they were gone?

 

If she isn't ready to fess up though, I think you will have to drop it. If she is in an unhappy/controlling/perhaps abusive relationship, it probably wasn't her choice to miss your reception either. It makes me sad for people in those types of relationships, cuz everyone deserves someone who loves them and does their best to make them happy.
