Does anyone watch TrueBlood?

Eric is really old- a Nordic viking so according to wikipedia he's suppose to be 1100 years old in the books, but born in 1046 in the tv series. (I wonder why the variation- but whatever.) According to wikipedia, Sophie Anne is supposedly 1100 years old so born around the early 900's?

It seems that Eric and Sophie are close to the same age so why doesn't Eric know the same stuff?

Godric (aka Godfrey) has tattoos from the Roman times.

Man I love wikipedia. It has a break down of all the books cause I can't remember crap. I read them too fast!

OOOOH!!!! True Blood Wiki!

Must go search... Man I haven't been an obsessed superfan since NKOTB!

If you ever see a picture of me in an Eric T-shirt, knotted on the side and a banana clip in my hair, it's time for an intervention!

Sorry I should have clarified that those "powers" are not in the book(s). Not that I hadn't seen it on the show.. heh.

Oh Erin! I'll have to find my pictures of me sporting my NKOTB tees and banana clips! I also had the tight rolled jeans with that! wink.gif
Jordan was my favorite. And years later after I left that phase my mom sat with him on a plane to Ireland, she got his autographer for me and thought I would be so excited, lol. I didn't know how to break it to her that I wasn't 12 anymore!

yay true blood!! i'm glad i finally found this post.. i am obsessed. My mother actually got me into it lol she knew how much i loved the twilight books. It is the BEST show thats been on since sex and the city lol.. in my opinion. I loved the sookie stackhouse books by charlaine harris and its great that the show isnt exactly like the books so i'm still surprised.

but yeah vampires are sexy haha

oh I also found this show on BBC (british broadcast channel) called Being Human.. i really think you would like this if you like True Blood. It's about a ghost, vampire and werewolf who live together. I know it sounds funny and it could take a little getting used to with the accents, but it's actually VERY good. The season is almost over but you can find it on demand. Definately give it a chance, watch a couple episodes.. you will not be dissapointed.

I have been reading along with this thread for a while now. DH and I watch True Blood religiously, we love it! I didn't know about the books until I found this thread and now I am ADDICTED to them. After I read Books 1 and 2 I talked to DH about what the same and what was different but he won't let me talk about any others cause he thinks they'll be like spoilers and he hates spoilers. I am currently on Book 4, almost done and can't wait to get my hands on #5. I have been an Eric fan from the time I started watching the show, but after Book 4, I LOVE Eric. If the show is going to use each book to base the seasons on, I am going to go CRAZY waiting for Season 4 to get to this storyline.

Anyway, as far as what is going on now, I too am SOOO tired of Maryanne and would love to see Sookie discover some new power that she can use to take Maryanne down. I am excited to see how the Queen figures into all of this. There was a very brief blip of Evan Rachel Wood in the previews for next week. DH paused and did slow-mo frame by frame to see her since it went by so quickly in real time. All I can say is she has red hair and blood dripping from her teeth. DH is leary about her in this role. He liked her in "Across the Universe" but doesn't know if she can pull off a vamp queen, but we shall see. I can't wait till Sunday, I live for Sunday nights, True Blood and Entourage!!!

Oooh! Thanks for the sneak peak! I must've missed her on the previews for next weeks episode! FI will be so happy she's doing a cameo, we've been keeping up w/her since she did "Thirteen".

Man, I need to get these books!! You make them sound awesome hahaha!

She's really good in most things I've seen. I love the indie flicks she's in (The Wrestler, King of California, etc) so I think she'll be able to do something cool w/the role. Hopefully, anyway cheesy.gif
