I'm a 2011 bride as well, however we have an unofficial date os 10/8/2011. I'm looking to travel this spring to check out the venues of choice. Once I make a decision & put a down payment.... Then we'll send out the STD's!! I have to say... although i'm almost 2yrs ahead of myself, it's pretty stressful b/c there's so much to be done.

I'm another 2011 bride who feels like I have way to much time to plan this....but know I will be running around last minute with soo many things left to do!

I don't have much done, we've pushed our date back from Sept 2010 to April 2011 because we just didn't have time to get started on anything over the last couple months. I was disappointed at first, but am so happy now because I can enjoy the planning and do everything I want. We are going to Costa Rica and that's all I know for now!! We really don't want to spend a ton of money, one reason we are going away is to keep the costs down. So anyone with helpful hints on budget, feel free to pass them on!

Hello Brides of 2011!

I am also going to be a bride in 2011! We are hoping for early Feb. 2011 in the Mayan Riviera. We are looking at the Bahia Principe resort (coba side) for our wedding. We have not confirmed any details yet due to our TA trying to rescure a group price for our guests. My hubby to be is very concerned about the cost for our guests, hense why we are waiting until 2011 to get married! If it were up to me...it would be april for this year..Instead we are going to Australia for a month ehe. So those are our temp. plans. Hopefully things will start to come together soon. We just want to confirm our date and location so we can send out STD and what not. It still doesn't feel real yet due to feeling in limbo. We have never been to this resort. Both of our parents have and loved it...hense the pressure to have the wedding here. Anyways, I am excited to meet you all and I look forward to planning along side of you all! Congrats!

Opps! I forgot to post that besides finding the groom....I have managed to semi decide on a dress. Ofcourse it was a fluke pop into a wedding shop with mom and tried on a few dresses (nothing serious I thought). I have narrowed it down to two dresses...I am waiting for my twin sister to come visit to get her final input. I already in my head know the dress and I am convinced my evil twin will love it too! So I am very excited. I too am on the band wagon to lose a few pounds prior to ordering. I dont anticipate I will order until June and even then we might be in for alteration nightmare... Joys of getting married! I have picked out a colour for my MOH my twin, I am thinking brown for her as I am leaning towards the ivory colour dress that I tried on...I think it will be really nice! Anyways...those are just my thoughts...maybe I am getting a little excited already eheh.

Hey which resort let you book this early? I want Dreams Puerto Vallarta and they said they will have pricing in May for April 2011!

There is not pricing yet, but I have a deposit/contract with Dreams Puerto Aventuras for April 21, 2011 at 5:00 pm. It was $100 to reserve my date and I did it all through the WC there (e-mail). That money can go towards your wedding expenses there later on. I'm a crazy person that wanted to be sure my date was mine ASAP. haha.

Your are one smart crazy bride, lol! I am hoping to email Dreams Puerta Vallarta in the next few months to ensure I can reserve my date, the WC said in May for April 2011, not too far away, but I want to know in the next month or so.....Aventuras looks super nice, if I knew more about the place I would consider booking but having been to PV before figured it might be easier.
