Cabo in January

I have been told that we really need to be concerned about heat stroke in January. I am just wondering how the weather is in January? I am from Calgary and it can get pretty hot here in the summer so I can't see it being to different down there. I am hoping there is a nice breeze off the the ocean to keep things somewhat cool. Can anyone give me tips or advise. I am wearing a big gown and the three brides maids are all wearing heavier gowns. Is it unreasonable to have the groom and groomsmen where long sleave shirts and ties?

You guys all rock, thank you so much for all this info. I didn't want to have any of my guests passing out and this makes me feel so much better. Is it true that it is smart to be applying sun screen every hour? This person who is volunteering his "knowledge" is really starting to drive me up the wall.
