Shower/ Wedding gift?

So, a friend (not a very close one, more like an acquaintence) of my FI's is getting married in October. We can't go. I was also invited to the shower and couldn't make it. So, I just ordered a gift off their registry at JC Penney and had it shipped directly to them, but there was no place to like leave them a note or attach a card or anything. Will they know it was from us? I had to put my name in for billing info, but that was it. I found it odd...

That is weird they should of let you put some kind of a note with it. Maybe if you dont hear from them in 2 or 3 weeks, you can just call and say "i sent you a gift in the mail and i just wanted to make sure you got it" This way they know it was from you and you also can be sure they got it. I've had a couple of packages go to neighbors in the past and they had to be reshipped.
