Hi All,

I'm also getting married in August (last week) and have not booked anything so far! I'm starting to panic! We have a pretty good idea of what we want, but it's just a matter of finalizing the plans.... Our plans include

 

We will stay at either RIU Palace or RIU Negril (depending on pricing)

Wedding will be offsite at Charela - I've been in contact with Isabele Stewart and have a lot of info. She's absolutely fantastic

 

We will be doing the all inclusive at the RIU and not sure when to book. We've done AIs before and the price usually drops significantly closer to the date.... but then, we can't wait too last minute as we would need to send invites as well....

Hi vtongco are you planning on having a lot of people come to the wedding? Sounds like you know what you want but are just waiting for prices to drop, which I completely understand, but if you want a lot of people to come just remember that things might book up.

I agree Vtongco with merocket59... While you want to get the best prices possible for yourself and your guests; you have to give them enough time to plan for their trip. Honestly, I don't want to panic you; but you are cutting it a tiny bit close. Most people have to put in for vacation time, save money, etc... I would at least get your date secured and send out STD's. We are all here to help if you need anything!

Hello ladies....just checking in again. 5 months to go!!!! Are you getting excited? I am. I have been very busy still but managed to get majority of the items for my OOT bags. I want to try a new dress because since joining Biggest Loser I have lost almost 20 lbs!!! I'd love to hear any updates ladies.

Did you lose all that weight during this BL? I'm so jealous! Great work!!!! I wish I'd lost that much, but haven't put 100% into it to be honest.

 

5 MONTHS!!!!! I feel like I still have sooooo much to do, but I've done so much!

 

OOT bags are done. i'm just doing a million DIY projects right now for decor!

Yes. I started about one week before BL but have been losing ever since. I am determined to lose a few more so I will continue after it ends too. I have tried to lose weight for years but this is the first time that I have been able to because I have been really focused.

Hi, guys

I must say I have not felt this stressed through this entire ordeal. No matter how far ahead you plan, sometimes things just don't work out the way you plan. I decided to get my dress made to save on cost and went with someone that was recommended without seeing other bridal dress she has made, she has made some regular going out dresses which looked nice, but a wedding dress I know is to another level. Well, she did have the frame work down when I saw it for the first time, that was at the end of January. Can you believe I have yet to see my dress again with the alterations and instructions I gave her. I am going nuts in my head. Then to top it off, my florist I choose in Jamaica, Wedding Planner Plus, seem to not be able to provide the beautiful look I am going for. So, I am on the hunt for a new florist and a new dress 5 months into the game. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.

 

Well, things are looking up. I found a new florist, but still taking my time checking them out, TiaFlora.com. I still need to fire the old one, and try to get some of my deposit back. I also set a new date to see my dress by the dress maker which is the 16th of this month. I did also find another dress on davids bridal that could be a runner up. Not my dream look but it can do. I still need to get the flower girl dress, which is this weekend, and start to gather all my items for the out of town baskets, as well as finalize things with school and graduation. Pray for me.

Aw, hun sorry to hear about everything. I personally recommend if you're getting a new dress make sure you find one you LOVE. I settled w/ a dress from DB that was not my dream dress but would do and the price was good. I really regretted it and bought a new dress. I'm having someone make it and it's my dream dress and cost less than my DB. It only takes her 35 days to make a dress. I should have it on the 16th and will post pics for you to see the quality and maybe you could use her? If money is an issue, i only spent $190 on my dress. She can make it to your measurements or general size.

Thank god I'm not the only one really starting to stress. I can't find invitations I love and it was really irritating me so I am probably going to DIY passport invitations so I can get all the info I need in them and it can have all the elements I want. I have a lot of stuff for my OOT bags but still need to work on them, I think the people at Michaels, AC Moore, and Target all hate me and all my coupons by now! And it is all taking up a big corner of my bedroom (we need to move soon!). And my guests are more together with booking their flights and hotel rooms than I am. Oh annnd I can't find a first dance song errgg... But on a better note I found a hairstyle I like and think that my hair will comply with. And I found shoes that I like
