Ring exchange without a wedding party?

Hi everyone!

 

I don't know if this has been asked before but I'm a bit stumped here and I couldn't find this question when I searched.

 

My FI and I are not having a wedding party or anyone stand up there with us when we get married, so my question is....what do I do with the rings until I need them? My FI will have pockets so I guess he can keep his there but what about me? Do I have my mom sit in the front row and have her quickly bring it up to me during the ceremony when it's time? What is the proper thing to do in this instance?

hmmm good question....i would say ya maybe ask your mom to hold onto the ring for you im not wanting to have a wedding party either but i never thought about this

My FI and I were having the same problem since we have no wedding party either. We have decided that we will either give them to our best friends who we chose as our unofficial best man and man of honor (my best friend is a male) so they can be involved in the wedding. Our second choice is to give them to my grandfather who will be performing the ceremony.

I had FI put them in our ring bowl and just set it on the ceremony table when he went up there.

I had my oldest nephew hold mine and he had his oldest niece hold his. At the appropriate time, they both came up, handed us the rings and gave us hugs. It was really sweet.

that is a good question as everyone said. I like the idea of placing it in a bowl and place it infront where you will be standing. or, you can have them tied really nice to your bouquet as decor easy for your both to take off.

I had kind of wondered the same thing. We are not having an official wedding party either. I was planning to have my sister sit in the front row and have her bring them up when needed.

I noticed on someone's pictures that the bride had the groom's ring on her thumb during the ceremony.
