I think you're first step should be to find a TA that specializes in DWs. They will be able to offer a lot of suggestions! Once you have an idea of a few places then research them...this is a great forum to find information!!

Congratulations and Welcome! I would start off by browsing the forum; looking at wedding pictures, vendors, wedding reviews to get ideas of where you would like to get married. Also Check out books and videos from your local library, netflix, etc to get a feel for things. Weight out the pros and cons...you'll find the place that is right for you and your FI. Once you have found your destination, I would check out Destination Wedding (DW) travel agents (TA) in that area if you need assistance with travel arrangements. Also find a wedding coordinator, you can find vendors/reviews on this forum.

 

I picked Hawaii because we love to go there and our families wouldn't have to get a passport. We are having avery small wedding so I didn't use a travel agent but I do have a wedding coordinator which I HIGHLY recommend. They have been very helpful (takes alot of the stress away). I have found a TON of information and ideas on this forum.
