Stressing about favor idea until NOW

A donation as a favor? I was thinking Joe and I could pick whatever foundation we wanted, and donate to them. Has anyone heard of or done this? I know I would want to donate to an animal shelter, even though Joe just made me feel like I should do something else!! **$$##@@!! He wants to donate to a cancer foundation, but I said we can do both. What do you all think? My sister and her hubby donated to my dads Veteran's Hall, they made a nice frame type thing and placed it by the guest book for their guest to see. I'll probably do that.

 

I know Joe didn't mean to put a damper on my animal shelter idea, but he did. He'll be paying for that later! SON-OF-

I was originally going to donate to the Canadian Cancer Soceity...they have things especially for wedding favors! ***Plus its a tax write off - here in canada anyway!!***

I love the idea...I have always wondered though how much do you give?

 

I think I would do this for sure if I just knew how to choose how much? What looks cheap? What would be over board?

I think that is a great idea. I went to a wedding a few months ago, and as the favor each guest received a pack of life savers and a quote that said" thanks for being a life saver a donation has been made in your name to XYZ foundation"

And I found this Cancer Foundation. I want to research alil more on this one though. If anyone knows of any PA foundations let me know. All are of course great but ykwim.

fils just went to a wedding a month ago that the favors were donations to an environmental group. I think they made little cards and put at each ones seat that had a little saying on it.

 

I would definately do an animal shelter, like maybe the North League animal rescue or your local shelter. Maybe you could do half animal shelter, half cancer org. Is that stupid?
