When do groom/groomsmen walk down aisle?

Recommended Posts

I'm creating my ceremony program right now, and I'm wondering when the guys go to the alter and do they have special music played? Or would they go down the aisle before the processional during the prelude of songs?

Any insight would be much appreciated!

I had my husband walk down with the same music as the bridal party. He walked arm in arm with both of the moms (his & mine). Then the moms poured their portion of sand into the sand ceremony frame and they kissed Shawn and sat down. Then the bridesmaids came arm in arm with the groomsmen. It worked out very well and it filled the five minute song! :)

I had the grooms men and Groom walk out to the Mission Impossible song it was so funny and cute. Everybody loved it. The walked down then the bridesmaid song started and they walked down alone then my song. I loved the way it worked out and everyone commented on how cute it was. I think whatever you want to do will work perfectly. People never know what to expect out of a dw.

We have a pretty small wedding party...

Groom and son will walk down

then MOH and Best Man...

then me and my mom...

I am really scared about my song though now that I have read this...

I was thinking one 3 1/2 minute song would work for all of us to get down the aisle...

Should I have two songs? One for the groom, son and wedding party and then one for me and my mom?

I can't imagine that our aisle will be that long... we only have 25 guests!

Where is your wedding? Our "asile" was VERY long! Since I was being married on the beach, I had to start walking from the bar where nobody could see me. Plus, I had four pairs of bridesmaids/groosmen, which is why I needed two songs. I am sure you'll be fine with just one as long as you really don't have a long aisle.
