Fernando for hair (PV)???

I am not sure this is the same Fernando? this thread is for the Fernando that works out of Nuevo/Puerto Vallarta and who Las Caletas uses a lot for their brides. I see you both are in the Riviera Maya? I think the scheduling conflicts you are having are with a different Fernando.

I just wanted to point that out to the PV brides

It can be stressful, but Im not really worried about it for some reason. If I bring pics of what I want and make it clear, I feel it will work out fine. Plus, Fernando realies heavily on our reviews and I doubt he would recommend someone that may not be able to deliver.

I used the Fernando who does the Las Caletas weddings. If this is the same guy, the only thing that would concern me is whether he has Las Caletas weddings that day because that requires a 45 minute boat ride each way. Otherwise, I dont think its bad that he has more than one appt in a day, that seems reasonable to me. Once your hair is done to your satisfaction, he would be leaving anyway.

 

As far as how he did, I didnt have a trial so I didnt end up with exactly what I wanted, but he is very good. You can tell he is knowledgeable about wedding hair and is a real pro. Just keep an eye on him as he works so that you catch anything you dont like. Mine was almost exactly what I wanted but the front poof was very straight versus pulled to the side, but I didnt explain it that well. Oh, and he also came with an assistant. YMMV

I used Fernando as well. I think he did a pretty good job on my hair and make up. He also did my mom's hair and make up and she wasnt happy with it. She told me that she wanted it half up and he told her to "close her eyes" and ended up putting it ALL up! She was not happy but didnt want to say anything to him even though I told her that she should. He did a great job with her hair.. he just didnt do what she wanted. I think that he is very good at what he does though, just be very to the point with what you want.

Is this Fernando Fuentes in Playa del Carmen?? I did a make-up trial run with him and he brought someone with him to do my hair.  Both did a great job and they are booked for my wedding in November.  I hope all goes well since I am REALLY bad at doing my own make-up, even worse at doing my own hair!!!

Ok, am I the only one confused here?

 

this is thread is in the PV forum. There is a Fernando that has a salon and does hair out of his salon in Nuevo Vallarta, Las Caletas typically uses him for their brides.

 

There is also a Fernando in the Playa/Cancun area? I tried once to straighten out WHICH Fernando this thread is about but now it is all over the place again...
