Check on the resort having sour puss. We inquired when we were there (we like sour puss shooters cheers.gif), but they did not have. . . May not be an option...

Then I will have the bartender serve it with a twist of lime on the rim to incorporate my lime green colour. Here's a pic of my inspiration:Purple Martini

It is fairly sweet so I think people will only be able to handle a few... or I could just tell the bartender to amp up the vodka.... :)

This is a great idea. :) Do you know if there is any additional charge by the resort to do this?

I am using the resort photographer. It just wasn't in our budget to fly someone to Puerto Vallarta or pay the outside vendor fee for a local photographer. With that being said, I've seen the resort photographers work (which is great) and have heard nothing but good things about them. Hope that helps. :)

They said they would do it free of charge, just had to let the bartenders know what it was. We are making up little signs with our signature shot, martini and cocktail, all with original names (we haven't decided 100% on what those are yet so will share later).

Darn it! Do you know if they make martinis at the resort? If they don't have it then maybe we can just go down and tell them to make me a purple martini and I'll use that instead. I will get Fatima to ask the Food and Beverage Manager though. Thanks for the heads up!

Sarahben2011, We arrive in PV on November 20th with all our guests. We will be getting married on the 25th at 3pm.

I cant wait, i have to try my dress on to make sure i dont need any alterations as when i bought it, it fit me perfectly.

I think i might pay and go with an outside vendor her name is Sara tamargo and her work looks GREAT but i dont know what the outside vendor cost is at dreams.

On nov.27th all our guests go home and we will be heading to yelapa to stay at  Lagunita for 2 nights, then we are heading back to PV for 5 nights at the new sunset plaza, has anyone stayed at either of these places before they look amazing ( although yelapa is rough around the edges, but i want to adventure off and try something new so we are very excited about this... im not a big fan of bugs tho so we will see how that goes haha) Sunset plaza is extremely new so i hope if there were any issues with the resort they have been worked them out by now. SO EXCITED- 39 days:)

Sarahben2011 are you staying for a honeymoon?

It depends on the martini. Martini's themselves are pretty standard, but if you are going for the fancy concoctions then that might be different. I'd suggest asking Fatima to check if there are any drinks they are aware of that (a) are purple and (B) taste good... that maybe the easiest way to figure out what they have on hand to make a purple drink with... Just a thought :o)

BGardner - You'll check in when we check out :-)  The outside vendor fee is $100... so not too bad!

We are also heading to Yelapa for our honeymoon!!! But we are staying at Verana for 4 nights!  Although Lagunita looks amazing as well!!!!!

Hhaha Verana is even more "open" so I'm also curious / nervous about the bugs but it'll be such an adventure!

BGardner, We got engaged at Verana and are staying there for 7 nights for our honeymoon after of wedding at Las Caletas.  Don't be too worried about the bugs, they didn't bother us much while we were there last time. Have bug spray on hand, but they should be fairly minimal. Some nights I got a few bites but not often. And you sleep in Mosquito nets at night with the sounds of nature and it's super romantic!

I think we will just miss you at both Dreams and Verana we are at Dreams from Nov 27-Dec 4th and Verana until the 11th.
