And dreams2011 that's so great to hear!! I would so much rather the hotel do the make up as it's just so much easier. I know bridal hair and make up is included but does anyone how much it costs to have it done for your BM? I have 4 and only need hair since one BM is a hair stylist and will do hair.

Again thanks guys!!! Were getting married end of May and I figured I should start looking into these finer details and stop holding off.

I'd also recommend Bianca, three of us had our hair done and all LOVED it.  A friend of mine did my make-up so can't really comment on that.  They gave my mom 15% off just for being mother-of-the-bride.

Just a heads up, if you book through email before you go (which I would) you pretty much can't cancel because they say they need a weeks notice!  My friend decided she wanted to cancel the day before but couldn't but ended up loving it.  If you book at the resort once you get there you only have to give 24hrs notice.  But I'm sure if you bitched enough they wouldn't charge you!

Also, we had our reception at Las Palmas and they kicked us out at 9:30.  I wasn't impressed.  Friggin party was just getting started!  Even the hotel entertainment goes later than that!

No kidding aprilmay, they should have made you aware when booking that was the latest (a good thing for future brides to confirm if they want their reception to carry on later)...can't say I'm surprised that they didn't however.

We didn't see any that were at the Las Palmas go on very late either. That area is so close to the building that people probably complain like mad as 9 or so nears. If you would like to go till the 10:30 cut off then definitely go beach (and 10:30 is still too early...we could have easily gone till mid-night or later) If you really want to party the night away then an adults only resort probably has a better chance of that, providing there aren't any kids coming that you need to accommodate!

Okay, maybe this is another newbie question but can't you just go to the beach yourself and just party there? Or does it become off limits or something? Instead of having like a dance/party after our reception, we were thinking of the bonfire and just having some music playing on an ipod and if people want to dance and 'party' they can still do so. I've never been to Mexico or an AE before so maybe I don't understand the concept.. does the place shut down at 10:30 or something?

9:30?!? That's ridiculous! Did they explain why?  I think the reception included in the ultimate package is 4 hrs total, so start time may be a factor (?).  BTW, the 10:30 cut-off is not exclusive to the beach at all so for those of you having your reception at las palmas I wouldn't be overly concerned. We were at las palmas til 10:45 and I think Autumn & Lauren were there even later. Just make sure you clarify times with the WC.

m1984- The hotel has an outdoor curfew of 10:30 so outside parties have to stop then (I thought they had told us the parties with music, but might be all parties?). But, there's always the "sports" bar  - they're open til 2, I believe, and the lobby bar is open til 1. We went to the sports bar after the wedding with an ipod & they let us take over the music in there. Worked out great. If you want to have your reception on the beach consist of the bonfire & your ipod I'd just double check with the WC to make sure it's OK (just tell her the music won't be loud). The bartender/waiter for the bonfire may cut off at 10:30, but maybe they'd let you extend it.

So just off-topic a bit, but Im so annoyed that United has started offering non-stop from Chicago! When we booked, not one airline did. So we have a layover - which I hate in general and do everything to avoid, but we had no choice.  Now all these people who waited to book are getting non-stop. We did get insurance, but since we did a package with our stay at Dreams and our honeymoon together, we would lose almost 2 grand to change flights! Oh well. My mom is nuts though! My parents booked pretty early (like good parents! Lol) but she has found out about the non-stop flights available now and  she just won't stop complaining! It's like she thinks the whole airline industry conspired against her! So now I have told anyone who got direct flights to lie to her because I can't listen to it anymore!

We are experiencing flight craziness with layovers and parents/FPIL, too. I feel your pain!

The fabric is included as part of the decoration of the chuppah. They have a few to choose from, but if you want something specific you could always bring your own. Adding flowers or other decorations that they supply may cost extra, but I'm not sure. We went with a shear ivory & brought capiz shell curtains to hang from the back. Our WC (Rebeca) hung them up w/o an extra charge.
