What else are people putting in OOT bags? Are there any places/websites people have found fun things to put in there without making them too expensive?

Thanks

i thought the tres leches was the best dessert we had there - much better than the chocolate. idk what dreams' policy is about bringing in food now, but you could see if it's possible to order from a local bakery...plus people won't remember your wedding cake, they'll remember everything else.

BTW - menu choices have also been discussed at length WITHIN this thread!!! while it's lengthy, it's an invaluable resource. try reading the whole thread rather than ask the same questions over and over and over - you're likely to get more answers that way. you could also try reading reviews from brides; usually they include menu reviews as well.

Hey Lauren, I've been meaning to ask you - where did you guys go for your photos the day before the wedding? (white skirt, red top)

I really love those shots & we want a similar feel (old PV & architectural details) for our TTD.

ugh - while i LOVE those pictures and love every picture that rick (the photog) takes, that was NOT my rehearsal dinner dress. i ate and drank too much the 3 days before to fit into my dress! i want to kick myself every time i see them.

anywho, our rehearsal dinner was at barcelona tapas, and the pics were taken on the surrounding streets. rick knew the area and then went scouting earlier that day. i wish i had more details for you, but unfortunately, i left it all in his hands.

Lauren you crack me up! You looked beautiful & no one would ever have known you ate/drank yourself out of a dress. :) But I know how you feel; I probably would've been pissed at myself too.

Thanks for the info! We don't really want to plan anything specific, just a general idea of where to head.

That was really a lot of great information, and answered tons of my questions! I'm very thankful for this forum! Congrats to everyone! Dreams PV seems like the perfect place for my fiance and I to celebrate our marriage after reading such positive reviews! (Wedding at Our Lady of Guadalupe).

One thing going through the thread, I didn't notice anything about people having a wedding at Dreams PV in the rainy season (June-September) & backup plans. My fiance and I really want to have our Reception at Dreams PV, but unfortunately for many reasons we have to get married in July! (I know, heat, humidity and RAIN)! I was wondering if any of the previous brides have experience in talking to Rebecca about possible backup plans? I read somewhere that you can rent Oceana out for $3000 and it's covered but I was wondering if there was another backup plan that you don't have to pay extra for. Is the ballroom at the back of the resort a backup plan that doesn't have extra cost? Anyone have experience with tents as a possible backup plan, how many people they cover and the price of those?

Thanks!

The fact that Dreams offered a ballroom and rain back up plan was a major factor in us picking the resort. Everyone kept saying that it didn't rain in PV in December, but I just felt like we needed a back up. Turns out that it started raining like crazy the night of our wedding and we actually had to consider the ballroom as the back up plan. There was not extra charge for it. The entry is right across from the preferred lobby and really nice. Also, it is really easy to get to from either tower to the ballroom without getting wet if it is raining. It would be just like getting married at a nice hotel. The pictures at the link below are exactly what it looks like. I could picture a nice cocktail hour hosted in the foyer with all the couches and then move to the ballroom for dinner and dancing. Here's to hoping for beautiful weather on your day and you not having to use this info!

That really puts my mind at ease for a rainy season wedding! And the pictures of the ballrooms are beautiful... just as nice and nicer then the hotel ballrooms in my town that drove us away from getting married at home! Great to know that there's easy access to the ballrooms, and there could be a possible cocktail set up in the foyer. Thanks so much for the reply!
