ROR:Wedding Confirmation Voucher

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

I just received my wedding confirmation voucher from ROR. My date is set for 12/3/09 and the TA has made all of the arrangements....just waiting for the responses to start coming in!

Question #1: The "free" wedding package for 2009 is $350.00. The confirmation voucher says that "The total amount will be paid directly at the hotel upon meeting with the wedding coordinator." It also says that "In case of cancellations or no show the Riu Sales Department will charge $250 USD from the credit card information provided."

Can someone clarify for me if my credit card will be charged $350 now or is it only to hold the reservation? In other words, pay the $350 and for whatever extra I want in December 2009 unless I cancel or no show then Riu will charge my card $250.

Question #2: I tried searching for a ROR forum on this site. Does such a forum exist? If so, can someone tell me how to get to it?

Question #3: Now that I have travel arrangements and my confirmation voucher, can I start contacting the wedding coordinator for more information? Do you think she will respond even though my date is more than a year away?

Thanks a bunch for all of your help and support

1 - your credit card is just to secure your wedding date. You may choose to pay in cash once you have your appt with Chandlyn. I am sure she will not care how you pay as long as you do. No charges should appear on your card without you knowing.

2 - there is tons of information in the Jamaica forum in regards to ROR. Try doing a search to find the items you want to know about. I don't believe there is a forum just for ROR though.

3- You can contact the co-ordinator if you wish. Booking things like your dinner and reception I would do earlier. Once again though, you will find a lot of the stuff you need to know via this site. The people are super and there is TONS of info.

Good luck with your planning and congrats! :)
