Translating and Authenticating Documents

For those brides that have already been through this step - I am curious about how long it takes for all the the documents to be translated and authenticated prior to getting married. I'm from Canada so it may be a bit different from USA. Also, does this expire? I am getting married in Feb 2008 and if I do this now will it be expired before the wedding??

Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

Where are you planning on getting married? I am not positive, but I think the different states in Mexico may have different regulations.

We are getting married on July 4th and our wedding coordinator wants us to send the documents to be translated to her by mid May. It has to be a state certified translation and I guess it takes a little bit.

Hmm I'm sending my WC all our paper work at least a month before the wedding to be translated and verified and I paid a little extra to have the WC get all our wedding documents translated into english and she said I should have it all back before I leave Cabo. (getting married on a Tuesday leaving Saturday)

Okay...I may be a little confused! I thought that the documents had to be translated and then sent to the Mexican Embassy for authentication. It sounds like you WC is doing all of this for you?? I am getting married at the Moon Palace - I guess I better contact them and get this figured out. Good thing I have lots of time!!
