Has anyone rented from SunCabo?

I am looking at renting Casa Del Costa Tranquilo, a private Pedregal villa, through SunCabo.

 

I started to worry that maybe SunCabo was not legitimate and maybe they'd take my money and run. (I like to worry.)

 

Has anyone used them? Was it great? Was it terrible? Any advice?

We had the same fears originally, but we went to Cabo and met one of their reps at Casa de Costa Tranquillo...and to make a long story short, we are very pleased so far with their professionalism and responsiveness. We rented the villa for a week in March 09...and so far they are still returning my calls and e-mails!!! :-)

ok, how funny...we are both in Seattle and we're both renting Tranquilo!

 

So, obviously you HAVE seen it. And you loved it, I guess? We'll try not to trash it this December (we've got it December 14.)

 

Since you've been to Tranquilo, tell me about it. Was it too far from the airport? Was it too far from SJD? Did it feel remote? My wedding planner has said awesome things about it...

Pedregal is the furtherst point in Los Cabos from SJD and San Jose. It is on the Pacific side (north of the arches). It takes 30 min to get to San Jose and another 10-15 to get to the airport.

The Suncabo Casa Del Costa Tranquilo is by the new marina in San Jose, about 100 yards from Buzzards, and 10 minutes from downtown San Jose, not in Pedregal, unless they have two villas with the same name.

 

It's a great villa, plenty of space, a good deck area right next to the beach big enough for 30 -40 people for a ceremony. Huge pool, two seperate casitas, a great outdoor kitchen area, fire pit, nice interior. We toured about 15 villas and knew right away this was the place. Not as luxurious as some, but overall the best place we looked at if you want to be on the beach.

The Villa you are talking about is in San Jose Del Cabo, on Cabovillas.com it's called Villa Dios del Mar, however, in Suncabo it's called Casa del Costa Tranquilo. I've been looking at that villa as well for our wedding. If you'd like send me your email address, I have pictures of a wedding that took place there, that way you can see the set up, it's actually very beautiful.
