I'm really sorry Susan. I know you must be hearbroken but 21 is a really long life for a cat. I'm sure she had a great life and she's lucky she had someone like you to care for her.

oh suze that sucks i am such a crazy cat lady. i had my old girl for 18 years and when she finally had to be put to sleep i cried and cried, i still get choked up thinking about it, and it was 3 years ago almost! i went out that day and started looking for kittens.

 

by a week later i found my babies and now i've got crazy bro & sis littermates, who totally and completely filled my heart back up when i was so sad to lose my old girl. i am the kind of person who never wants to live without a cat

I shed a tear for kitty, she is a darling and I know how a pet can feel like a family member. WEll actually they are... I am so sorry for your loss.
