To all Fake N Bake's which lotion do you use??

Recommended Posts

As a random thought on the way in this morning while sitting in traffic I thought of this. I am starting tonight since 1) I have severe farmers tan/work-o-holic tan = pure white legs and super dark arms!! And well I know once getting to Jamaica in 2 months I will "burn baby burn" sorry for the expression. I don't fake n bake normally only been on 2 occasions to get ready for the Bahamas and DR. Soooooooo

Which lotions do you use when tanning at the salon?

I love Hempz.

There is also a really good lotion called BLEND, but it's pricey!

I would get a lotion with a bronzer so you develop color more quickly.

I personally stay away from tingle and hot lotions. I don't see the point in having a burning sensation!

Cal Tan products are alittle pricier, but great quality. They have skin tightners, hydrators, & the stuff that makes sure you don't have the "after tan" smell!!! All their products can be used outdoors as well, so you can actually take them on your trip too (but remember they don't have SPF in them so be cautious if using them outdoors).

  • 1 month later...

Bumping an old thread but I used Australian Gold tanning lotion with hemp in it in the beginning of August and I had a really bad allergic reaction to the hemp, just a warning if you've never used a hemp lotion. I had no idea until then that I was allergic to anything, let alone hemp. It was miserable. sad.gif

I was told that it doesnt really matter what kind of lotion you use from a friend who works at a salon. She said that bronzers are kinda a waste of money because it is not a permenant result, it just dyes your skin. Personally, I use anything that is all natural and leaves my skin really soft. I figure tanning beds are bad enough that theres no point in adding in any artificial chemicals. One other thing I would recommend is putting on some SPF chapstick before going in. The beds can dry out your lips and burn them.
