Anyone have success with metabolic booster pills?

You know.. the trimspa, hydroxycut, quickslim etc etc.?

 

I'm looking to increase my metabolism and wondering if this stuff is a waste of money or if it really helps. I am working out and watching what I'm eating, so I am not relying on this as a quick fix pill, but an addition to what I'm doing now.

 

Any previous experience?

I vaguely remember hearing something on the news about research on Trimspa showing it didn't work. But I might be wrong on that.... I haven't heard anything about the others.

 

Maybe a dietician or doctor would have some advice on how to kick the metabolism into high gear too? I would bet there are different foods that would help increase, or different patterns to eating (like always eating breakfast, or eating more meals in a small quantity, etc...)...

I would not trust trim spa, I have heard some bad things about it and isn't Anna Nicole evidence enough that it might have negative long term effects.

 

I have heard green tea is a great appetite suppresant.

I have also used hydroxycut but not in conjuction with regular workouts. At the time I worked midnights and it gave me such energy! I also didn't eat much, don't know if it was the timing or the appetite surpressant.

 

I'd definately try it again; maybe even the variety TammyM had.

 

FI tried Xenadrine since he didn't feel an affect from Hydroxycut. He preferred that. I tried it as well as it's effect isn't necessarily as noticable as far as energy. On both however, I eith lost weight or maintained alot easier.
