What happened... I was horribly sick all weekend and I came on this morning and I was reading a thread and it says Banned.. WHY

yeah, something happened in a political discussion over the weekend... I missed the actual thread though.

A thread was started in hopes to discuss the historical relevance of having a minority on each ticket in the up coming election.

 

Things took a bad turn and personal attacks were starting to be made (from multiple members) as the topic shifted away from the OP's intent.

 

The forum rules are very specific in stating that disruptive/harassing behavior is a no-no.

 

I think the thread must have been closed.

 

It is a shame since we can discuss everything else here in a respectful manner.

she came back after saying she was leaving the thread & posted some pretty harsh stuff. then she was warned not to provoke & then posted something even harsher.

yes, she was banned...erin b is correct in saying that barbs were made on both sides . we posted to keep the thread friendly and no name-calling would be allowed but some members, even after being warned, felt too passionately about their stance to follow forum rules.
