The renovations will start Sept. 19 and go through the spring. I believe you'll have to book elsewhere during that time as all dates I entered say they are unavailable. Here is what the website says (http://www.princevillehotelhawaii.com):

 

Announcement

The Princeville Resort will be under construction starting September 19, 2008. The Princeville Resort will be re-branded as The St. Regis Princeville Resort in Spring, 2009.
