Flying out of Detroit, I'd think it'd be cheaper to go in the Riviera Maya region. I'd start there

In general, with the site visits, do the resort give you good deals?? (ie. 50% off...)

I think site visits depends on which resort you choose. I think the Dreams hotels do something with site visits. A really good travel agent will be able to help you out.

However, I know A LOT of us have planned our destination weddings without a site visit at all. I was one of them. And I must say, i loved it!
