It's 4am....

And, I haven't slept a wink. My sleep schedule is so jacked up.

I have to be up in an hour and a half to make Jay breakfast and pack his lunch. Luckily I can go back to bed for a few hours before I have to be up to run errands....

This bites....every night it just gets later and later...last night I didn't go to bed until almost 3am.

Ugh. sad.gif

Sorry to hear you're up at this ungodly hour, it totally sucks when you can't sleep and know you've got things to do the next day. I would suggest a glass of wine, but you're preggers right? Hmm....how about some warm milk? My mom used to make that for me when I was little and couldn't sleep :)

If it's any consolation, I'm up from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday for work ~ yep it blows!! I've been doing it for a year now and I swear no matter how much I sleep I'm still exhausted. So believe me, I feel your pain girl!! smile35.gif

Rosa, Thanks for all that helpful info. I have always had insomnia and take sleeping pills, but since I got pregnant I stopped taking them. Actually, since I got pregnant I haven't needed them. I am always so sleepy..well, up until this week!

I think my problem is that I am taking a year off work to be with my son, so I am not on a normal sleep schedule. For instance, I got up yesterday morning at 5:30 to make my husband breakfast and lunch and then finally fell back to sleep around 8ish and didn't wake up until 11:00am. I think that once I get up at 5:30 I just need to stay awake and find something to do instead of going back to bed. I am just trying to take advantage of all the sleep I can get now before my son arrives!

But, I appreciate your advice! My mind always wonders, which is why I usually take sleeping pills...

As for San Antonio, we actually just moved from there. I need to change my location. We lived there for about a year....I still have siblings there though, so I might be able to help ya out.

I don't know anyone that commutes to Austin for more money, but it might depend on what type of job you are looking for? Shoot me a PM and I'll help ya out best I can! :)

ahhh. I was gonna ask why you were awake at 3am! That work schedule probably took some getting used to. Can I ask what type of work you do? I would hate to work the graveyard shift or third shift or whatever it is they call it now.

And, unfortunately, I hate milk. sad.gif

I think I am gonna go make my husband breakfast now...might as well be productive. sad.gif

Well let's preface this all by saying I'm a completely mad and work like a crazy person with several jobs, and yes I've been tired since I've pretty much graduated from college, lol.

At night I work as a News Reporter for a So Cal newswire service, basically breaking all news in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties. I get the story, do the leg work, research and then write it up, send it to my editor and he puts it on the newswire which gets sent out to all our clients ~ all the major news outlets here in So Cal, including the Associated Press and law enforcement agencies. I'm pretty much the only News Reporter up during these ridiculous hours but in essence writing up the morning newcasts. It's kinda cool to see the anchors or reporters reading my stories word for word, but again the hours suck ass!! Then on some days I do actual television reporting for local cable stations in my area during the daytime ~ that's usually entertainment or sports related stuff, which I LOVE! All that on top of raising a 13 year old daughter who's going through puberty (YIKES) and planning a wedding ~ yes my life is MADNESS smile105.gif

So if you're ever online and can't sleep ~ I'm usually on the forum when I'm not swamped with work just reading through threads, racking up points, tee hee.

Hmmm...can't seem to think of an alternative to warm milk....I'll have to get back to you on that one :) MMMmmm...the thought of breakfast sounds so delish right now!!

MarieSam- that actually sounds like a super cool job! The hours are nuts, but I guess they have to be if you want to get all the crazy stuff that happens in the middle of the night.

I can't imagine working those hours and raising a 13 year-old, much less planning a DW! My hats off to you! elefant.gif
