Bahamas January/February Weather

My husband and I are renewing our vows at the end of January 2009 in Atlantis, Paradise Island Bahamas and was wondering if anyone has either been there in Jan/Feb or knows what the weather is like. Any help would be great.

Thanks

We always go on vaca the 1st week of Feb. It's warm maybe 80ish? The Sun and walking around always feel warmer...but it's a perfect time to go down to the Bahamas! Easy way to think.... ummm your in MD so maybe end of May June hot with out the humidity. The nights you will still want a sweater with the breeze off the ocean.. but it's perfect. I'm from Boston so its a really huge change for Feb weather. Remember to take your girls to the Straw Market for your knock off purses.. and ALWAYS visit Diamonds International. If you want a deal on anything for jewelery it's your best bet.. and haggle like crazy.. My 5 yr anniversary 5 diamond band for my right finger... retail at DeBeers (which buys almost all their stuff from DI) 4200.00 we got it for 1300.00 and its a plat band and VVS1 Diamonds.. Sorry I blabbed but PM me and I can tell you soo much more!!

I have been to the Bahamas in February twice (around presidents day?, is that the holiday that is like the third week?). The weather is great. I'd say high 70's during the day. Does get a little breezy at night where I needed long sleeves or jeans and a light long sleeve shirt. But I was definitely at the beach all day every day!

  • 2 months later...

The locals kept warning me it was too cold in January to have my dinner outside but I don't think they realize I come from -30 degrees (or can even comprehend just how cold that is) so even the low 70s will feel balmy! My parents were down there last year in the middle of January and they said that they found it perfect - not so hot during the day that you couldn't anything and very nice at night.
