Few questions about hair extensions-

I have extensions in now, and I LOVE them! I had them in for about a month already and really had no problems. They're supposed to last 4 to 6 months. So far, not a single strand fell out! :-) It's real hair from Great Lengths, and I got it professionally binded (not really glue, but binding that is applied with heat). I have thicker hair as well, and I find that I only need to shampoo every 3 to 4 days. I shampoo like normal, and have no problems styling afterward. You can flat iron/curl iron it like normal hair. I find that it's easier to style, since the extension hair is really nice in texture and masks my own (naturally frizzy) hair. Hope this helps!

I am getting extensions a week before my wedding. My FSIL is going to do them. She put some pink strands in my hair for fun to see if I would like them. i have had them about a month and so far I havent had any problems. I wash and style my hair every day. I think they are the great lengths. She used a heat gun to attache them.

My extensions will be about 10" or so. Do you have someone close to you that would do it, or are you just going to go to a stylist? They are kinda expesinve. But if you plan on keeping them in for a while its worth it.

Yeah you are completly right, but I am only able to do them about a week and half before, because they take forever and thats the only time we could do it....ohh well

Stacey, what do you plan on doing with your hair for your wedding day? I've been going back and forth on extensions and worry about the wind at the dreams gazebo with a 'down-do'.

Also for those that have had them, what's it look like if you get your hair wet in a pool or the ocean? You can probably see the bonds i'm assuming?

It really depends on where they are placed in your hair. I went into the pool on Saturday and you couldn't see the bonds (which I was very excited about). Also if I put my hair in a ponytail you can't see them. My stylist did that on purpose. When she put them in, she kept on putting my hair up to make sure she didn't place them in the ponytail eye viewing area. (Does that make sense? :) ) The only thing I can't do is put my hair up on the sides, which I am bummed about. I can do it, but it takes stragetic placement of hair and bobby pins.

Anyhow, I have had them in for one week and I love them more and more every day. I am starting to get use to them. I can now wash my hair with ease since they aren't as tight. Also I can sleep without any tightness.I have received so many compliments it is crazy. It does definitley take some getting use to, but once you do it is smooth sailing.

I look forward to my honeymoon and getting out of the ocean, swinging my hair and having instant mermaid hair.

I plan on having my hair all up. My FSIL is the one doing my extensions and she will be doing my hair for the wedding
