hey ladies

 

how do you get those pretty flourishes and stuff on your inserts? i'm looking online right now at inspiration pics but would like to know how to do this? Also where do i find those cute pocketfolds?

Hmmm....I'm not sure about the flourishes - have you tried google images, flikr, and microsoft clipart? Those are the three I use the most often.

 

I didn't do pocketfold invites, but a lot of brides on here use this site: Cards & Pockets

I used a flourish font and spent hours searching online.

Like Angela said a lot of them are fonts. Try Dafont.com and they have some with really cool ones for invites!

How crafty are you and how DIY are you willing to get? I wanted the pocket fold but couldn't find any in the colour I wanted, so I made them myself out 12X12 cardstock. I cut them out, folded them, and glued the pockets. Here is the thread they are on http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t20051

by the way, how do you use the flourish in a template? sorry if i sound silly.

Not a silly question! I think we probably all have had that question at one time or another! (at least i did )

anyway you have to add that font file (.ttf) to your font folder on your computer. the best way to do that i have found is to save the font to your desktop, then open your control panel and there should be font folder there. Then you just need to drag the .ttf file from your desktop into your font folder on the control panel. Once you do that the next time you go into word or powerpoint the new font will be there. Even though the flourish font are designs, each letter you type will give you a different design (once the font is added to your computer!)
