the chill-out reception is a restaurant on the beach. You will be provided solid grounds and it is right by the beach side.  This is a private venue, thus you must pay for it per person.

Hope this helps!

Hi Emfayed,

I was curious about the ceremony as well and came across this youtube video showing the ceremony.  I watched it with FI and we decided it wasn't for us but it definitely looks like a memorable ceremony for the couple and for all of the guests.

I actually received a lot of information from the wedding coordinator Aracelli. She even sent me pictures of her own ceremony.  Upon review we decided it wasn't for us.

This is a brief description:

It is done ON the beach, not the gazebo. It involves singing, dancing and the four elements. Guests stand during the entire 40 minute ceremony and at a specific moment they are asked to participate by voicing their wishes for the married couple.

The ceremony is done in Mayan or Spanish, but never in English.  A translator is 75$.

There is a first part to this ceremony it involves a sauna within an igloo...this is done the day before and lasts about 15min....if you need a translator it is another 75$.

Hi everyone,

I'm getting married at GSP in July, and am just wondering if anyone has any sample photos from the photographers at the resort?  My sister has stayed here before and had photos done by them (not wedding, just for fun) and they looked great, but I was hoping to see some wedding photos?

We just got back.  I can probably show you some, when we get organized.  What kind are you looking for?

The one tip i can provide is to look at them as soon as you can.  We put them off until the end of our stay and then we ran out of time to get the pics into printed books exactly the way we wanted.  It was a little frustrating, but we have all the pics so we can do what we want at home.

Hi there!!

First of all, congratulations!!  How was it?!?!?!?

Second of all, thank-you so much for offering to share & for your advice!  The pictures are the most important part of the wedding to me, so I will make sure to go and see them ASAP after the wedding.

I would love to see all of your photos, but that's probably not possible lol.  I think what I'd like to see most are the photos taken with you and your husband on the beach after the ceremony, and trash the dress if you did those photos.
