Grand Sunset Princess Resort

I am so glad I found u ladies!!! We are getting married on May 29th 2010 at 3:00 pm. Patricia has been great so far, but we are considering using a different photographer because it seems a little spendy to get 30 photos for $500 dollars. Has anyone found a photographer that is reasonably priced.

I had also heard that you could only have your wedding under the gazebo, has anyone recently requested an on the beach ceremony? If so, did it cost extra? It seems like the extras are pretty spendy.

We looked into having the private reception and I think it was $300.00 to rent a room (looked like a private bar) for an hour. I think I will just have my family and I try to find a private area to have drinks at after the wedding since it is an all inclusive resort I don't feel like we should have to pay that much just to reserve a room. I really liked the area with the red chairs on the deck, it looks really cozy and private, hopefully we'll be able to find one of these areas to have a cocktail hour at without spending the money... Afterall, It is a huge resort :).

Best Wishes to everyone,

Carie

It is a bit pricey for the beach wedding right in the sand if you rent all the extras. I just wasn't sure how private the beach would be. The gazebo looks really nice and seems to be a bit more private. Then again I don't know...decisions.

And yes the on site photographer is pricey. I have been looking at Moments that Matter Photography, very nice work and pretty good pricing for what you get. I was last quoted 4 hours for $2000 and you get all the pictures.

Has anyone received pictures of the wedding cakes they make at the resort?

I was going to get married on the beach, but changed my mind when I got there. The gazebo is much more private. No matter what you're going to have people stopping and watching the ceremony. If you're in the gazebo you don't notice the outsiders as much.

I have pics of the cake options if you want to pm me your email addy I'll send you the attachment, also if you need the flower choices or any other price lists, I have it all....

the Beach Ceremony is an extra $500-600 I think, that's just for the set up of the arch and chairs...then if you want extra decor that's probably extra again, so we picked the gazebo - I was a little upset at first but now I'm happy about it seeing all the pics of the weddings there! Plus it gives you a little shade from the sun so everyone isn't squinty squint.

I just photographed a wedding there in November. The beach location was actually right next to the gazebo. But I agree, if you're in the gazebo then perhaps the lookie loos wouldn't be as noticable??

The wedding then had their reception in one of the normal ala carte restaurants. It was actually quite private I thought. They had a little area for them and yes, there were other people in the restaurant, but you never really noticed.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.
