We just can't agree on a dog!

I have two pugs and also know a bunch from friends and family. I would guess that every dog, like people, will be different. My little boy pug loves to play all day and all night. My girl wants her beauty sleep. They are high maintenance and can have lots of health issues. The puggle is great because ideally the pugs health issues are not passed on. I'm a pug lover though, and to me they are worth all of the extra effort!

Anyway, I want a Puggle SO BAD!!!!!!smile123.gif

I have always had little dog (my lasy dog was a cockapoo - cocker spaniel and poodle mix) and he has always had big dogs. I thought a Puggle was a comprimise. Well....my FI says they are too hyper. Does anyone have one, is this true? I am so annoyed, because he really seems to be standing his ground on this one - I hate that! He wants another boxer, which I love, but I just want a Puggle!!!!!!

I think I just needed to vent a little..thanx for listening or any advice you have.
I am very sorry to have to report, our neighbors have 2 puggles and they are absolute lunatics!

Have you thought about a Cavelier King Charles Spaniel? They are about the same size as a puggle. I have one. Suki is a great dog. Do some research on them. My FI already had an English Bulldog. When I decided I also wanted a dog, it was very important to get a dog that would get along with Meaty. All Meaty does is lay on the couch and eat. We picked the Cavalier because of their adaptibility. Suki runs around, fetches, plays, etc when outside, but inside, she lays on my lap like a little princess. The Cavalier Breed came to be as lap dogs to the ladies in waiting in England to keep them warm on carriage rides and in winter, etc.

UPDATE

Last night I was looking at a thread on here "show us your pet".

First everyone has the cutest dogs, cats and even birds ever. Someone on the thread I forget who, posted a picture of an American Bulldog. Now I do like small dogs, and this goes against everything I said, but he was so adorable! I showed Matt, and he really loved him too. He's been online all day researching them, and calling places.

We are not 100%, but I guess there is no harm in looking. So we might agree, but its only because this dog is so irresistable. Maybe I'll like a big dog?!what.gif
