Aww Lindsay that was a great letter from you Mom...I got all excited and giddy reading it and it brought back all our memories too (we as well kept the location a surprise and I think that was the best thing to do because it added so much anticipation for guests) I am so happy how your wedding turned out and I wish you and your hubbie all the best in the world...you deserve it! Ahh and thanks for sharing your story...I can't wait to see more photos of your whole day!!!!

OH my gosh. I love the photos. I am getting married next March and I was wondering what time the sun sets then. Maybe it's around the same time as in Feb when you got married. Did you have pics with your hubby before the ceremony during daylight hours? I really don't want him to see me beforehand!!

Hi Marla,

No, we didn't take any pics before the ceremony, just after the ceremony. The sun set about 7pm on February 14th, so if your wedding is in March, I imagine the sun won't set until maybe almost 8 - depending when in March your wedding is! We have tons more pics that were taken before the sun went down, so we did manage to get a lot of nice ones in the day light, and the boat was even late arriving before the ceremony, and we still got them all! I'm currently working on my review of everything and will post it soon with lots more pics!!!!!

Ok, here is my review! Sorry it has taken me so long to write it, I have been trying to remember all of the details, I didnâ€t want to miss anything! I think Iâ€m going to break it up into sections and post each section bit by bit….with some pics!

Site Inspection

Eddie and I went for our site inspection on Monday, February 12th. We really didnâ€t have to “inspect†much of anything, as we pretty much knew what would go on and where things would take place, as we have been to Caletas before, but it was nice to have a free trip out to Caletas to relax and enjoy a beautiful hot day!!! It was also nice to meet Nicole (finally!) and go over things and finalize all the little details for the day. Upon our arrival at Las Caletas, Nicole took us directly up to the Bridal Suite to show us where we would be getting ready. It is beautiful!!! (more to come on that later!). After that, we walked down the path that the bridesmaids and I would be taking to get down to the ceremony. Make sure you bring comfy sandals or FLAT shoes, not heels, as there are a lot of stairs and it is tricky to walk down, especially in your dress! Nicole showed us the area where the guys would be getting ready for the ceremony (which is right above the restaurant where you have dinner) and then she showed us where the ceremony would be and where everything would be set up. After that, we sat down in the bar/restaurant area and went over the last minute details and gave her all of our “stuff†that she would be setting up for us on the day of the wedding. We chose our seating plan at that time, and I explained how I wanted the favours at each place, and gave her our guest book/signature mat, etc. She gave us a final timeline of the day and asked if we had any other special last minute requests and then that was it. Our meeting with her took all of 45 minutes! After that, we were free to explore Las Caletas, look for photo locations, enjoy the beach, snorkel, kayak, etc. Lunch was included and we had a beautiful table right on the ocean. After lunch there wasnâ€t much time left, and the bell rings for everyone to head back to the boat for the ride home to PV….it was a beautiful, calm day on the ocean and we both really enjoyed the day. It was nice to get away from everyone (in top secret!) to finalize everything!
