Ideas 4 Destination Weddings!?!

Hello everyone!

 

I'm fairly new to this site.

 

I could really use some help w/ selecting a nice location in the Caribbeans.

I know there are some nice resorts in Mexico however I'd appreciate some suggestions on another Island (Except for RIUs, Sandals, & Iberostar locations)

 

I notice a lot of the "Couples Only Resorts" are very very nice...but I'm not too sure how lenient they are in regard to children coming on the property for the day of the wedding.

 

There won't be a lot of children coming but possibly 4 will come. Perhaps a family friendly resort except for "Beaches."

 

And the budget is approx 5k for the wedding give or take a lil more.

Definitely on a budget but I would like something very Chique.

Im partial to Playa del Carmen... but if your looking for a different island... Punta Cana has beautiful beaches as well!

Are you looking for an All-Inclusive or no? Is the 5K what you want to spend for the wedding and reception, or does that have to include travel?

Beaches properties are beautiful. And... if there are children coming all the way to your wedding, wouldn't you feel bad if they weren't allowed at your resort the days before and after your wedding? That was an issue for me. I only ended up having two kids, but I was so happy I got to spend time with them in the pool and eat meals with them etc since they traveled so far for us.

Another note... check out Grand Pineapple Negril (formerly Negril Gardens), it's an AI that allows children. It's small and quaint, but has beautiful wedding ceremonies! It's owned by Sandals, which is right next door, so they have great service and food, just a better value.
