Dreams Puerto Aventuras Brides - POST HERE!

Who is Mr. Guzman that you all are referring to? Sounds great that we are starting to get some pictures of recent real weddings:)

Is anyone using/renting vases or bowls to use for candles/decor? I emailed Jacy about this and can't get a straight answer on what will be available.

My colors are blue and i was thinking about putting vases or tealight holders all along the wall around the gazebo. I thought either tinted blue glass or I may just use clear and fill with blue water or water and a floralyte in blue?

Interesting? I'll go in and edit out their faces. All the photos I have received have peoples faces in it. I think it would be a bit hard to take a photo with no faces in it. Regardless... I only care about how the set up looks. They can take the pics before people get there.

Do you ladies mind sharing Mr. Guzman's email address? I sent Jacy a followup email and cc'd the concierge but still no response. Thank you :)

I originally send my email that I sent to Jacy to baltobabe (from tripadvisor and the dreams forum) and she bc forwarded it to Mr. Guzman who replied to me after not hearing back from anyone. He is the general manager of the resort. If you are having trouble with Jacy maybe try contacting her first and she will do the same for you. She knows lots of contacts and is very willing to help. PM me if you need her email addy. She is not too hard to find :)

I am actually not as concerned about the banquet room as I am about those HIDEOUS chairs on the gazebo. Oh man are those ugly!

I think the banquet room has potential if you are looking for a quiet, intimate dinner. With a little more decor and flowers and maybe a table linen to match the colors of the wedding it would work.

But those chairs! UGH! I was really hoping to keep it simple and not decorate the gazebo or do chair covers but...

Hi all-

I am wondering also if the pics taken were of the "free wedding". The ultimate package states there are chair covers as well as a runner for the bride to walk on as her "aisle". Thanks for the pics Bianca.

We had to push our wedding ahead to the 27th of Feb 2010 this week....family scheduling...but I am NOT doing it again!!

Bianca did a great calculation for havingt fabric across the ceiling and said it would take maybe 5o yards for a piece from each corner to the center.
Here is a pic that sort of shows what I mean, but I would use white shear fabric and gather the white lanterns in the middle, then use blue LED ligts so at night they are blue...

Weddings Gowns Gifts, The Knot

Also, is anyone doing chinese lanterns in the gazebo? Are you using battery operated LED lights? I wanted to do this but then I wondered how to turn them on after they are hung. I wouldnt want them on during the day, but later in the evening(we are having our dinner reception in gazebo). Any ideas, experiences with this??
aaronsgirl-
I am excited to see the idea of the lanterns but "the knot" wouldn't open. Do you need to sign up and who's wedding was it?
Thanks!

Oh sorry it didn't work. Maybe you do have to sign in. It is Amy and Cole's wedding in Texas. There are ton of other good lantern photos on there. I really want have a candle lit dinner, but with the wind I may just do lanterns and submursable ligths that I found on: Save on Crafts
LED Lights Floating Submersible Lite Ice Cubes ( 12 hr 3 function 1.5" ) BLUE (8 ice cubes) $24

They are kind of expensive but a really great alternative to candles and come in BLUE:) I though vases with water and a light would add a great blue hue to the evening.
