Oh hey speaking of brides heading down to DPA soon, I am hoping someone can help me out with a small favour. In the gift shop they have these really cute little stuffed turtles in a kids pool in the middle of the store. We kept meaning to go get one of the small sized ones but usually remembered just as we were heading out to the beach. Is there any chance someone could pick one up for me and ship it once you're back home again?! It's the cute looking green ones (they come in a large and small size, I'd like the small) and is embroidered with the Dreams logo in like, gold writing or something. Thank you!!!

Yay Adrianne! Congrats, I'm jealous, have a blast!

 

Sent out STDs about a week or two ago (a few addresses still missing, but the bulk of them are out) and have had really good feedback so far. I was pleasantly surprised.

 

About to book photographer and my neighbor/landlord is a baptist minister (is that what the baptists are? sorry, i'm catholic!) offered to do our at home marriage for free before we go instead of going to the courthouse. So woo, everything is falling into place. )

Well I just got back from DPA this week and let me tell you I truly had the wedding of my dreams!!! It was absolutely beautiful. It was a little bit stressful leading up to the big day since it started to rain almost everyday starting anywhere from 3-8pm and continued throughout the night!! We were supposed to get married at 5pm on thursday ,but were fortunately able to make the decision to move the wedding to 1pm since the weather pattern didnt seem to be to promising. The wedding day was sunny and beautiful, but it did start raining around 6 pm so we def. made the right decision. I didnt travel the entire way to mexico to get married inside, even though they do provide back up options. I was very impressed with the resort photographers. They did an awesome job capturing the ceremony. We also hired an outside photographer but didnt get the pics back yet. I dont know how to upload photos, but if anyone wants to check out my pics on facebook just send me a request! My name is Karen Wiest from Harrisburg. Hey everyone! I'm getting married at DPA on 10/2/10. So thrilled to have this site. Karen you gave me such relief with your postive post of your wedding. I got some wedding pictures from Jacy last week and have been feeling I might have made the wrong choice on resorts. Trying to read lots of positives.

mexico102 - I don't think any of us who are DPA brides could give anything other than great reviews about thre resort! I know it can be tricky to take the words of a bunch of people you don't know to heart, but trust us when we tell you that you will have a beautiful wedding there in November!! And that's coming from someone who got completely rained out the entire trip and still got compliments on how wonderful everything was.
