People expect you to cater to their demands in picking a resort, no I will not have my wedding at a family resort so my 3 friends with small children  can bring them.

What I learned planning our destination wedding:

 

-People don't shy away from giving their opinions

 

-People will surprise, delight, and disappoint you

 

-It's ok to be selfish and do what YOU want! This is a momentous occasion in your lives and yes it IS all about you and your husband! Sometimes Bridezilla needs to surface and it's OK.

 

-My husband and I made an incredible team, we had our own strengths during the planning process and we balanced each other out quite nicely

 

-How much I love him and the overall feeling of peace and happiness I felt, knowing this is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with, no doubt about it!!!
