Any suggestions?

Hello everyone!

My name is Mindy and my fiance and I really want to do a destination wedding but we need to pick a place. We are finding that we really don't even know where to start. We want a wedding in the Caribbean, someplace that is easy to fly to from the Chicago area, is all-inclusive and is fairly reasonably priced. With this being said I will take any suggestions anyone has to offer. The only place we did not want to go to is Mexico (because our friends got married there last fall). We are thinking we want to get married in October of 2009 but do not have an exact date.

Hi Mindy,

Check into Sandals. They have beautiful resorts and is fairly reasonable priced. We booked our wedding at the Grande St. Lucian and are very excited about it. :-D The basic wedding package is free and then you can add things that you want.

Hope this helps.

Welcome!

I was recently married in Negril, Jamaica at Couples Swept Away. It was wonderful and very affordable. We stuck with the free package and only added on some flowers for about $250.

It is an adult only property but the Riu are nice family properties.

We have several travel agents on the forum. I would find one on the banner at the top and contact them for more info.

Congrats and Happy Planning!

Welcome to the forum! I am gettin married in Nov in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We are getting amrried at the Grand Palladium and having the basic package with a couple flower upgrades. This is an AI resort, and the wedding package includes up to 50 guests without additional costs. Punta Cana is a beautiful area, & we love this resort.

Welcome to the forum! Have you looked at Aruba? That's where my FI and I are getting married - on our resort's private beach! It lies outside of the hurricane belt & has an arid climate and is not humid. Well, I am a little biased. Good luck!
