So there was something on my contract about not distributing my photos, can the photo studio sue me for scanning them and posting them here or sending them to my family?

i want to say yes. if you have access to the photog's blog or a weblink that has the pics, like the proofs, you can post that and the password and it will be ok.

 

sometimes there is an allowance for pics you have actually purchased, like the prints you get, to be able to do what you want with them, but unless your contract specifically says so i would be careful.
