Hey ladies!

I was just wondering if any of you staying at Del Mar/Beach help me out. I've been in touch with Ms. Gabriela Palacios (wc for Del Mar/Beach) over the last few months, and she informed me that the only required documents for our civil ceremony are our birth certificates (long form) which DO NOT need to be translated in to Spanish and our passports. Has she told anyone else here the same thing? It seems too easy to be true and I don't want to go there in Feb and be denied my wedding because I didn't have a document translated when I was supposed to.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks!!

I just saw a thread about this on the Iberostar wedding board: Worried about the Legal stuff

Thanks for the link, LindoBride!
I think it would be a safe thing to do - at least it would ease your mind & you're welcome!

My wedding is June 2009. I have not registered yet but a few of my bridesmaids (all married) have told me that I have to register soon. I am thinking of registering in late November / early December.
