Registry Etiquette

Recommended Posts

When we decided to have a DW we told all our guests that we did not want gifts so I never thought about registering. However, now I was told by mom that I MUST register for my shower so we are going tonight. Are there any proper etiquette to registering? Why do I feel so funny coming up with a list of things?smile105.gif

Try not to feel strange about doing this - i think you are actually doing your guests a favor by registering (as it makes the shopping easier for them). We registered at BB&B and Target.....it was quite fun actually...walking around the store with the little scanner and putting all our "wishes" on it.

OMG, Jennifer, we felt the same way! I was like, we have this stuff! What are we doing?! I don't want to be a "gift wh*re." But we did it at Bed Bath and Beyond, and the guy said make it like a giant wish list. Like, we registered for these towels (softest towels EVER) that were super expensive, and we felt bad and did not want to put them on the registry... and the man who was helping us was like, it's your giant wish list, even if you don't get them, just put them on! Hank and I are not greedy for gifts, so we felt the same way...
