I took my brother (4) and sister (almost 6) to build a bear about 2 weeks ago. The bears are around $18, but there were some other ones that were a little more. You can get a sound effect for a couple bucks more. $25 is definitely enough for the bear. I got them the outfit and shoes with the bear and sound effect and it was about $45, but the outfits are all different prices. They both loved it though so I definitely think that is a good gift idea.

If she likes to read, definitely go for books...or even a gift card for a bookstore, that way she can pick out what she wants.

If you want some ideas for books in her age group, here are a few that come to mind:

Magic Treehouse (series, up to about 50 titles I believe)

Disney Fairies (series, follows Tinkerbell and her fairy friends)

Royal Diaries (series, fictional diaries from real life princesses through history)

Pony Pals (series)

Scholastic has also released easy to read editions of classic stories, like Anne of Green Gables, The Jungle Book, Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz...they are called Scholastic Junior Classics

Anything by Raold Dahl is great (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, George and the Giant Peach, The Twits)

Judy Blume is great too.

Sorry, I seem to have gone off and written a novel about kids books!

There are personalized books which are fantasic. They are only about $13 and the child is in the book. There are several websites for them if you google personalized books. Some of the sites I have used are:

Personalized Children's Books

Personalized Children's Books from Create a Book

Personalized Childrens Books - Our beautiful childrens books are a magical adventure in reading!
