Eyebrow Threading

Recommended Posts

I would have it done a day or two before you leave for your trip! It stays fresh for quite awhile and then while you're enjoying paradise, you can also enjoy perfect brows! :)

Threading is amazing! I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for the last 7 years and never paid more than $6 in Vancouver or $4 in Montreal. It can be painful sometimes but its quick - or at least it should be. Waxing can cause ingrown hairs and also over time since waxing pulls on your skin, some say it can cause more wrinkles when you're older (or skin sag). If threading is available where you live, I highly recommend you at least try it to see if you like it.

I have been getting my eyebrows threaded on a monthly basis for past 4-5 years. And every other time I will get the upper lip done. For me, it does hurt a lot but it is quick. Like you are in the salon for a total of 10 minutes, including saying hello and payment. The results are beautiful and worth the short-term pain, in my opinion.

I thread every 2-3wks. I dont have alot of thick brow hair but I love the look of fresh brows. I've recently started spacing it out to every 3 wks so that I can grow my brows a little thicker. Yes it does hurt but if you pull your skin tight enough it's not so bad. No worse than waxing, it just takes a minute or so longer. If they start to grow in b4 your wedding just bring a tweezer and pluck the few random strays out. but it shouldn't be too bad.

Eyebrow threading is where they use a piece of thread and pull the hairs out by crossing the thread together to pluck it out by the roots. It sound painfully slow but they do it pretty quickly and it does a nice job of creating shaped brows. I will be honest though I find waxing less painful, and it has left some mild cuts on my skin, however I still think it is less damaging to your skin then the heat of the wax. It is definitely painful, however it isn't something you can't tolerate.

As with waxubg it really depends on your beauthy therapist! When I had my eyebrows thread last time it was less painful then some of the times I've had them waxed and more painful than some other times... Saying that, I think stick to waxing when it comes to legs and other parts...
