Postage Increase

Jilly your best bet would be to put the extra two cents on the reply envelopes, but if you can get the invites before then that would be good.

I'm just afraid people won't have them back to me that quick. I was thinking I'd mail them late April & ask for them back beginning of June? I just don't want to send them too soon, but I want to send them soon enough that people get their butts in gear or tell me for sure they're not coming!

In Canada we have stamps that are always worth the going rate for a standard envelope (they're good forever) - do you not have those in the U.S.?? It's pretty new here... maybe its worth checking with your post office.

they were actually talking about that on the news this morning, I think thats what it was, so that you wouldn't have to worry about finding a damn 2 cent stamp when you have leftovers!

Yikes! Just think what our kids will have to pay to send their wedding invites. Can you imagine?

I am not sure if you ladies heard, but they are going to increase the postage to .41 cents, but they are also going to be selling the FOREVER stamp which will reflect what ever the current price is not matter how much you paid for it. They said they will start selling it maybe next month.

Also they are going to lower the postage for mail that exceeds .41 cents. This is good news for us ladies that are sending our invites May.

My drop date has now moved from April to May.
