Welcome Bags for Guests

Hello fellow maui bound brides,

I starting to get ideas for my welcome bags for our guests.

Any ideas of items to include? I really want to keep the price down. Is anyone using regular gift bags? I need about 20. I've heard about the Maui Costco, any ideas?

That is a great idea! I thought about doing that as well but haven't made my mind up. It will be a last minute thing but here is what I came up with....

Chips and pineapple salsa

Hawaiian music cd

disposable camera

chapstick

sunscreen

bottles of water

all or some of these items wrapped in a beach towel

If you're getting stuff when you get there, definitely check out Costco & any ABC store. The ABC stores had lots of souveniours & things you could use in the bags. They also have treats like macadameia nuts & coffee in all types of flavors!

You could also give out t-shirts because they usually have shirts that vary from 5 for $10, 4 for $10, etc. Ofcourse the quality of the t-shirt varies.

Oh, they also have magnets, cups, leis, lots of variety.

I also went to Halo Hatties. They had a great variety as well.

I'm leaving for Maui in 50 days. It's been a crazy year. After researching every destination wedding book and surfing the net, I'd like to suggest a couple of things:

1) bug repellent (I found cute single use packets online...minimus.biz)

2) sunscreen (try to get smaller packets as opposed to large bottles. Some people may be sensitive to the active ingrediants in your offering)

3) local region maps. If everyone is flying in, they won't know the first place to grab a quick snack or a yummy breakfast. Your guests will definately thank you for the options.

I agree with the bug repellant. I got bit up & I used the repellant.

I picked up some "Maui Gold" or "This Week In Maui" books at the airport when we arrived. They have tons in baggage claim.
