Arriving at ROR

Recommended Posts

For all the past ROR brides, did you have problems checking into your rooms if you arrived at the resort early? I ask because we are about to purchase our plane tickets and my FI wants to leave as early as possible since we have a long plane trip and then a long drive from the airport to the resort. The tickets we have been looking at would have us arriving in Jamaica between 10:30 and 11:00 am. With the alomst two hour ride to the resort, that would have us checking in around 2 or 2:30. Did many of you have troubles checking in early or did you have to wait a long time before you could check in?

Thanks ladies!!

I think we got there around that time & we didn't have any problems with check in. Our room was ready. I don't know this for sure, but along with the time you arrive, your day of arrival may also determine how check in is. Maybe some days are "busier" than others. So just keep that in mind.
I will tell you this though, once you get there & walk into that lobby & see the view, you won't be thinking about any check-in problems. LOL!

Most of our guests arrived on Thursday around 2pm and only 2 out of 15 rooms were ready. When we left on Saturday around noon, there were about 5-6 bus loads of people arriving and it didn't look like any of them were able to check-in. They all were told to leave their luggage in the lobby and check back in a few hours.

But you could seriously just hang out in the lobby for hours! There is a gorgeous view, a cool breeze, and frozen drinks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
