Without further ado... this is pretty neat!!! drum.gif

The average cost to guests attending a DW is

$1765
The median cost is very close as well
$1700

The average number of invites sent to invite guests to a DW is

73 Invitations

The average DW has

34 guests in attendance

The median for attendance is slightly lower

29 guests in attendance

I think think this is really cool - regarding the number of guests attending versus the number of invites sent....

55% of people invited to a DW actually GO!

WOWZERS!

Thanks for participating!

The results are based on per person - double occupancy!

  • 7 months later...

In light of the recent economic climate the issue of cost is again at the forefront!!! I'm opening myself up to continuing this study? Please respond with the following information - per the first post...

_________ $ for 7 nights occupancy (double) - cheapest room option possible at your resort (inc airfare and taxes)

_________ # of invites sent

_________ # of guests attending

_________ Resort Name

_________ # of stars of resort

I'll run the numbers! bunny_4.gif

Okay here is mine for next week pre-flu (and hopefully post-flu)

____1640_____ $ for 7 nights occupancy (double) - cheapest room option possible at your resort (inc airfare and taxes) (I averaged b/c flights are from all over the US and vary)

___150______ # of invites (will send soon)

___33______ # of guests attending (we think, maybe more?)

__Moon Palace Cancun_______ Resort Name

___5 ______ # of stars of resort

Although a confound exists now... not only the economy but the violence and swine flu may play a factor for some, might need to star the Mexico weddings. :)

Are you going to look any deeper at the stats like correlations between price and attendance? As a fellow stats geek I'd love to run this through SPSS or something and look at it. :)
