Nutritional Cleanse - added bonus - lose weight!?

There was another huge thread somewhere here of people doing the Colonix (might have spelling error) cleanse.

I recently did a cleanse called First Cleanse. It is a light cleanse for people doing a cleanse for the first time. Then you can (optionally) follow it up with a normal (i.e. stronger) cleanse. My sister recommended First Cleanse because she lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks! So she did a 2nd one back-to-back (you aren't really suppose to, but she did this rather than following it with a normal cleanse) and lost 15 lbs the following week. She loved it and said she felt wonderful.

When my husband and I did it, we felt very little effect. I didn't loose weight probably because I ate way more than I usually do (because I had food constantly on my mind). I was eating as per the strict diet but just eating more. My husband lost maybe 3-5 lbs. I'm guessing the reason we didn't loose a lot of weight is that we normally eat semi healthy, whereas my sister eats more junk food which is probably why she lost a lot.

The program is basically you take 2 pills in the morning and 2 pills in the evening. Then you follow a diet where you only eat:

-fruits and vegetables

-chicken and fish

-nuts

-brown rice

It's a 2 week program.

Hope this info helps! You can buy First Cleanse at a health food store.

Here is a link for the product

Most importantly, since this is a gentle cleanse you won't be stuck on the toilette all the time. My bowel movements hardly changed while on this.

Hi Everyone!

Amy, no I'm not starving. To be honest with you, I have poor eating habits. Traditionally, if I'm not hungry I don't eat.... I can go literally 12 or more hours without eating, and not even think about it. Especially at work - I do 12 hour shifts, and am lucky to squeeze in a 30 minute break (I'm an RN). So my problem is poor metabolism. I've totally shut it down by not eating. I've already fooled my body into thinking I'm starving. Therefore when I do finally eat, my body automatically stores the food as fat because it never knows when it is going to get fed again! I know, this sounds odd, but it kind of makes sense. So now, with this program I am learning to think about eating, and am making sure I have something at regular intervals whether I am hungry or not, just to get my metabolism back in shape. So for me, a few shakes a day, snacks, and a balanced meal of 400-600 calories is difficult. Funny - I have to force myself to eat in order to lose weight. Normally it is the other way around for most people - eat less.

Kelly - it is really not that hard (so far). They have 30 day programs too... I opted for the 9 day because I'm a skeptic. If this works for me, I'm for sure going to do the 30 day program. Sign me up!!! I actually did sign up as a member, just so that I could get the products at wholesale prices. Kind of like Avon etc... so if it works for me, my H2B and mom will want me to order some for them.

Tomorrow, I start the official cleanse days. These past 2 days have been pre-cleanse days, just to prepare and get used to drinking alot of water, getting used to the shakes, and eating (for a change). I've limited my coffee intake - that's been the hardest.( I work nights, I need coffee!!) But not a huge deal.

I'm thinking I will post another video on YOUTUBE to track my progress. So stay tuned!

Thanks again everyone! You're all so wonderful!!

Well, after 2 pre-cleanse days, today was my first official cleanse day. And it is going really well. Before I started cleansing today I weighed myself this morning. And just from the prep for the last two days, I've already released 3 lbs. I posted another video on youtube for anyone who is interested!

I have this question as well as I need to lose 7-12 lbs. I have done the renew just a a detoxifying after having radiation, but didn't lose any weight. I think I just need to excercise...guess I will go for a walk before work today....sign me up if this works though!
