I wanted real petals to toss on the aisle of my beach ceremony, but Janessa said the on-site coordinator said no because they would all blow away. I've seen other brides use them on the beach at resort though, and they appeared fine..

I found it very windy on the beach (our ceremony was at 4 PM) I personally wouldn't suggest rose petals (or any petals).  However if you do use the petals I would suggest the real ones; I can understand why they would not want you to use silk or any other man made fabric.

 

If your ceremony is on the sky terrace you will have less wind and your petals might stay put.

Good Question...to piggy back off of that i would love to know the best place for cocktail hour after the ceremony.
