I did a spray on tan last year for a maxim party I attended.. It actually works really well. but just know that it only lasts about a week, and every day it lightens up just a little.

I was just talking to FI about this today, he doesn't really like when I go to tanning because he thinks its bad for me, but he understands why it will be good for me to go before mexico, because I am also pretty white. I'm hoping I'll have some carryover tan from the summer, my bd pics will be at the end of august, so I'll want to be tan for those for that "thin" look, so I'll probably start tanning at the beginning of august.

Tanning really does make your fat look better

Be careful though, because I think I remember one of the photographers on here saying that the fake tans photograph weird and some girls ended up looking orange in the pictures!! I can't remember where I read that but that would be HORRIBLE!!!!
I did the airbrush think also and it worked really well....but it did sorta rub off on my clothes when I was sweating (I did it in the summer....I don't tan either!) and I would be SO nervous that I would start sweating during the wedding and my wedding dress would get fake tan all over it....AHHHHH!!!!

When I was in Cabo for my site visit, we met up with Juan (photographer). My FI surfs and is always in the sun and we both always have some color just from being outdoors. After our visit, Juan sent me an email saying to NOT get tan before the wedding b/c it doesn't look good in pictures. He just sent me another email last week about something else and again told me to tell my FI to not get a tan... we thought it was funny but I also want to be careful since I'm sure Juan is right.

I feel so much better when I'm tan too!! but I'm actually going to be careful before the wedding and try not to have too much color just a little to look healthier (and thinner!) :)

I started tanning last week! It is almost here---gotta get nice and brown :) I have done the spray tan before...and if you go more often and do little shades at a time, it is MUCH better than trying to get dark quicker. It is also a good idea to consider getting in a tanning bed just to get your skin use to the UV rays...especially since the rays are SO much stronger. Don't want to have burnt skin for the wedding/honeymoon! wink.gif Just a thought.

I would definitly advise the tanning beds over the spray tan simply because tanning beds will last longer and prepare you for the actual sun and wont rub off at all like the spray tans. My big suggestion to you would be to invest in a really good type of tanning inhibitor (?) and moisturizer for the tanning bed. All salons carry them and you should definitely be using it before and after you tan...especially if you were itchy because you were drying your skin out and that would flake off and tan you had, good moisturizers will really help your skin and allow you to keep your tan looking good for much longer!
