Hi Jenny,

I have an emerald cut diamond ring almost identical to yours. It was actually a 25th anniversary ring my husband had made for me but I wear it with my original wedding band that is 27 years old. The wedding band is just a plain white gold band but it looks kind of banged up in the picture but it's not that bad in real life I swear!

My hands look so old in these pictures but I thought you might want to see what a plain band looks like on a real hand with a ring like yours :)

You're ring is beautiful!!

My ring has 1 large emerald in the middle with 2 smaller ones on each side w/ a thick band. I had the same problem you do now! I went to several places where they said they can custom make a semi-curved baguette wedding band, but it was way more than I wanted to spend and they said it wouldn't be curved enough to close the gap between the two rings because emeralds stick out from top and bottom. I saw several curved round diamond bands that closed the gap a bit (it was still pretty big), but the contrast did not look good and took away from the emerald's look. I decided to not get a band and I'm totally OK with it. However, it's your finger, so you should decorate it any way you want!!

Jenny,

have you thought of looking at Channel set Princess cut diamonds? They almost have the look of baguettes, you still have the sharp edges. I finally decided to get my diamond reset into something to match my wedding bands. I wasn't origionally going to wear it cause it sits to high. I'm just gonna get it set lower so it doesn't snag on everything and almost rip my finger off.

Maybe something like this

1/2ct TW Contour Diamond Ring - Diamond - Wedding - Jewelry - Helzberg Diamonds

Maybe even you could test and see if something like this would work with your setting.

5/8ct TW Diamond Solitaire Ring Insert - Solitaire Enhancers - Rings - Jewelry - Helzberg Diamonds

I'd just go to the jewelry store and play around with rings till you see something you like. I'm sure they'll be able to help you find something!

I agree. I think that a princess cut is your best bet because it's angular. Try it out! :)

I only have one pic of my ring that my FI took on our old camera. I'll try taking a closer pic with our new camera to see if that comes out better.

Here is the one I have to hold you over.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
