Rooms Contract?

Recommended Posts

How much was your deposit (if any) that you had to pay for your rooms contract?

The resort that I'm having my wedding at just asked me how many rooms we need & then I have to pay a percentage of the room rate (299.00) per guest as a deposit.

Is this pretty standard?

Maybe I'm just freaking out with all these "deposits"! Good Lord, and then I have to break it to my FI when he gets home!censored.gif

Ugh! Not to mention that I have not been working as many hours as I need to be!!!

We had to put down 1 night's deposit of our group rate, per room. Then we paid the remainder 1 month before our groups arrival date. So to make sure we had everyone's $ on time, we gave our guests a deadline of 1 month before the actual remainder was due, so that was actually 2 months before our arrival date. We didn't want ANY problems with guests & not having the money!

Great idea! I think I'm going to do the same!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
